What is Home Sweet Home?
Home Sweet Home is an in-home dog boarding and daycare business that provides a comfortable, stress-free environment for dogs while their owners are away. Unlike traditional kennels, we offer a home-like setting where dogs receive personalized care, playtime, and companionship.
What makes your services different from a kennel?
Home Sweet Home offers a free-range, home-style environment where dogs are treated like family—no kennels, no cages, no small rooms, and no extra fees for playtime, cuddles, or medications. Unlike traditional facilities, we provide all-inclusive care in a cozy, stress-free setting, ensuring your pup feels right at home.
During the Stay:
Will my dog be crated?
We provide a free-range home environment, but if your dog is crate-trained and prefers a crate, we can accommodate that. Let us know your dog’s needs, and we’ll match their routine as closely as possible.
Where will my dog sleep?
Pups can sleep anywhere in the bedroom and living room of our home. If your dog has a preferred sleeping arrangement (crate, dog bed, etc.), let us know!
What should I bring for my dog’s stay?
Enough food for the entire stay + an extra day’s worth. (pre-portioned if possible)
Any medications (with instructions)
Leash and collar
Their bed + blanket/t-shirt
Crate (if needed)
How often do the dogs go outside?
Dogs have full supervised access to the yard to play, smell, and explore between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Will my dogs be around other dogs?
Yes, we offer a free-range home environment where dogs can socialize with other friendly, well-mannered dogs under supervision.
What if my dog has special dietary needs or medications?
No problem! We can accommodate special diets and administer medications at no extra cost.
Can you update me about my dog during their stay?
Absolutely! We provide 3-5 Daily photo and video updates during your dog’s stay.
Safety & Emergency Policies:
What happens if my dog gets sick or injured?
We will contact you immediately and take your dog to their designated vet or the nearest emergency clinic. All medical costs are the owner’s responsibility.
What if there is an emergency at your location?
In the event of a fire, natural disaster, or other emergency, we will take all necessary precautions to ensure your dog’s safety and notify you as soon as possible.
Are there any dogs you won’t accept?
For safety reasons, we do not accept dogs with severe aggression, extreme separation anxiety, or a history of biting humans or other dogs.
Booking & Requirements:
How do I book a stay for my dog?
You can book here on our website. Just tap the Book Now button in the top right corner and make a profile! If you're a new client, we require a meet-and-greet before your dog’s first stay to ensure a good fit.
What vaccinations are required?
For the health and safety of all dogs, we require up-to-date vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella (kennel cough). *We may also ask for confirmation of flea and tick prevention.
Do you accept puppies?
Yes, we accept puppies over 5 months, as long as they have completed their initial vaccinations. We can’t take unvaccinated puppies.
Do you accept all breeds?
We welcome all breeds, but we evaluate each dog individually. Dogs with aggressive tendencies may not fit our home environment well.
Do you accept unspayed or unneutered dogs?
We accept unaltered dogs on a case-by-case basis. However, unspayed females in heat and intact males with aggressive behaviors may not be accepted.
Pick-Up & Drop-Off:
What are your drop-off and pick-up hours?
Drop-off and pick-up hours can be specified for every booking, but general hours are 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
What if I’m running late?
We completely understand that life happens; simply notify us as soon as possible.* Late pick-ups may be subject to an additional fee.
Do you offer transportation for pick-up and drop-off?
Yup! We love to travel with our furry friends. We offer transportation upon request: $10 one-way or $20 for both.
Cancellations & Payments:
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24-48 hours notice for cancellations. Last-minute cancellations may result in a cancellation fee.
What Payment methods do you accept?
We currently only accept card transactions via Stripe.
Do you offer discounts for multiple dogs or extended stays?
Yes! We offer $5 off any services for multiple dogs from the same household. We do not offer discounts for extended stays.
Miscellaneous:
Can I book a trial daycare day before boarding?
Yes! A trial daycare visit is a great way to ensure your dog is comfortable before a longer stay and is offered at a discount!
Do you allow intact males and females in heat?
Sometimes, both are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
